What to do with "racist" kids' books?
Today we hosted a Q debate on what do with classic children's books that are deemed racist. From "Tintin in the Congo" and "Little Black Sambo" to "Peter Pan" and the "Noddy" books... do we ban them? Censor them? Update them? Or use them as "teachable tools" about racism? What do you think? Should we keep children's books that may contain racism away from kids? Or can they be used to teach children about racism and attitudes of the past?
