Today the Q media panel took a look at the coverage of the Helena Guergis scandal. She's the recently ejected minister of state for the status of women. Her resignation followed unspecified allegations of misconduct that the prime minister referred to the RCMP. It's hard not to love a good story full of power and intrigue -- and complete with a fall from grace. But has the media been over-zealous when it comes to the takedown? A Toronto Sun cover compared Guergis to a dog, and some are saying there is sexism afoot -- both from the media and in the way the Prime Minister has handled the situation. What do you think? Is the media showing sexism when it comes to the coverage of the Helena Guergis affair -- or is she getting the same treatment any politician would?
And are there other politicians who deserve the big scandal treatment who are instead sliding under the radar?
