Oh Canada, how can you spice up your vanilla-custard brand?

Canada fell from 4th place to 7th place in this year's Nation Brand Index. The policy consultant behind the rankings, Simon Anholt, told Q that part of the problem is that Canada's image is too monochromatic. "Canada needs to teach the world what the country is really like," says Anholt. "Put a little chilli pepper into the vanilla custard. It may sound disgusting, but it's a damn sight more interesting."
