Should Online Attacks be Considered Defamation?

Canadian model Liskula Cohen won her recent lawsuit against Google, forcing Google to reveal the name of an anonymous blogger who posted insults about her. She wanted the name so she could sue the offending blogger for defamation, in the same way newspapers, magazines and broadcasters can be held accountable for what they say about public figures. What do you think? Should blogs, websites or even mass emails be held to the same standard when it comes to criticism or personal attacks on the Internet?
