ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS OF THE "WRITE IT LIKE SEDARIS" CONTEST...
Our interview with American humourist and bestselling author David Sedaris yesterday, inspired many of you to write in with your own amusing yet revealing anecdotes a la Sedaris. (Click here for inspiration.)
So we're making it an official contest. The contest will be open all week long. On Friday (June 26), we'll announce a winner, who will get an autographed copy of David Sedaris's "When You Are Engulfed In Flames." Post away! But keep it to 150 words or less.
(Please note: All contest entries must be posted here on the Q blog. Please include your full name, the place you're writing from and your e-mail address so we can contact you if you win. Your e-mail address will not appear on the blog.)
NOTE, THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. But feel free to keep posting your stories and enjoy the stories below.
AND THE WINNERS ARE... The second runner up is J. S. Herbison, for a story about skin tags and dental floss. The first runner up prize goes to Clara Button in Toronto...for her tragic tale of a kissed toaster. And the grand prize winner... is ANDREW ROBERTS for his revealing and slightly disturbing story about toe nails. Congratulations! And thank you to all who contributed.
