Nintendo's Wii gaming system is getting ready to unleash a slate of bloody new games that are newly Wii compatible. But in tribute to Wii's pacifist past, Q's Screenboy Jesse Wente offers ...
JESSE WENTE'S TOP TEN NON-VIOLENT Wii GAMES
/ Super Mario Galaxy - okay, you do squash things, but that's about it - leave it up to Mario to deliver the Wii's best overall experience
/ LostWinds - this amazing WiiWare title allows you to control the wind - love it every time
/ Mario Kart Wii - still a top flight racing game, and maybe even more fun than Gran Turismo
/ Wii Sports - the game that shipped with the console still ranks as one of its most addictive titles
/ Guitar Hero: World Tour - rocks it on any console
/ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 All Play - the Wii is the only system that I play Tiger Woods golf on anymore - it may not be able to render the course down to every blade of grass, but it recreates my real life slice perfectly
/ De Blob - learn the joys of colouring again in this addictive game
/ Mario Strikers Charged - most soccer games leave me yawning, but this one's turbo-charged - plus there's Wario!
/ Wii Fit - is this even a game? I'm not sure, and it keeps telling me I'm morbidly obese, but you can't discount its unique and innovative place in gaming history
/ Boom Blox - the only thing that blows up in animated blocks in this top notch puzzler from Stephen Spielberg's gaming company - a sequel is coming soon
