It's not only First Nations people. How often have we seen the submissive Asian woman, or the macho Latino jerk? What do you think? How does popular culture represent the sexuality of different cultures?
Taylor argued that though popular depictions of Native sexuality aren't accurate, they aren't necessarily damaging either. Is this true for other cultures? What doesn't the media show that it probably should? Have you had to fight against sexual stereotyping?
