A special Q show, recorded live in front of an audience earlier this week at the Royal Theatre in Victoria B.C. Kathryn Calder, of The New Pornographers and Immaculate Machine, previews music from the forthcoming follow-up to her acclaimed sophomore album Bright and Vivid.  Wildlife artist and naturalist Robert Bateman on the all-new Robert Bateman Centre, the largest exhibition of his work, which will feature innovative multi-media explorations of the Canadian legend's creations. Alt-country singer/songwriter Carolyn Mark performs from her latest solo album, The Queen of Vancouver Island. Andrew Weaver, the first Green Party candidate to be elected as an MLA in B.C., was part of the Intergovernmental Panel that won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Triathlete Simon Whitfield won gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and silver in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He was also selected as Canada's flagbearer at the opening of the 2012 London Games.
