With shows ranging from the Ricky Gervais comedy Life's Too Short, which recently aired in the UK, to Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones, to reality shows like Little People, Big World, there have never been more representations of dwarfism on TV, but as Q guest and Guardian commentary writer Eugene Grant told Jim Brown today, there's a narrowness to those portrayals that is anything but progressive. And that's something, Grant says, has a profound impact on his own day-to-day life as someone with dwarfism.
