Super Why! (DV)

Super Why! (DV)

Super Why! is the first superhero program for preschoolers that helps children learn to read through interactive fairytale adventures. The adventures take place in Storybrook Village, a magical three-dimensional world behind the shelves in your library, where all of your favorite fairytale characters live, including four best friends: Red Riding Hood, The Littlest Pig, Princess Pea and Whyatt Beanstalk, the younger brother of Jack & the Beanstalk. Calling all Super Readers! When there is a problem in Storybrook Village, Whyatt calls his fairytale friends to the Book Club where they transform into SUPER READERS and fly into a book to find the answer to their question and save the day.

While in the book, Super Why and the Super Readers, including the Home Viewer, go on a reading adventure. Using the "Power to Read", they talk to characters from the story, play reading games and activities to overcome obstacles, and even change the ending of stories! As Super Readers, they experience books as never before and use special reading powers, including alphabet, words, spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension skills! The Super Readers fly back to the Book Club to decode the Super Story Answer, or theme, of the episode. With the answer to our question at hand, we go back to Storybrook Village to solve our problem. Hip Hip Hurray, the Super Readers save the day!
