In an expanding media age, Canadians are relying on an ever-increasing number of media sources for information they need to shape their lives. But if the media’s influence is growing, it is a ‘world’ that often escapes public scrutiny. In light of this, CBC News: Inside Media will turn a critical lens on the media in a dynamic weekly analysis program.
Hosted by Susan Ormiston, CBC News: Inside Media examines the media world in general, with a focus on journalistic performance and business issues. It will deal with standards, ethics and practices, and shed light on how news is gathered and reported. It will also examine the media in Canada as commercial enterprises, and deal with some of the public issues that flow from that – such as media concentration and convergence.
