Solo is a cross-cultural music project that showcases talented artists from Ontario, including the Ottawa-Gatineau region. It was co-produced with CBC and Radio-Canada to air on all 4 media services. English and French television and radio. Check cbc.ca/ottawa for broadcast times.

Julie is a mezzo-soprano singing sensation hailing from Ottawa, Ontario. Bringing her stunning voice and presence as a performer to the studio, Nesrallah also hosts TEMPO airing Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. TEMPO on CBC Radio 2.

Sat. July 31st - CBC Ottawa Presents: Solo #1 with France Maisonneuve & Bianca Pittoors

France Maisonneuve - France Maisonneuve is passionate about her music and shares that on stage by captivating her audience. Her voice is enchanting and her songs are heartwarming.

Bianca Pittoors - Bianca Pittoors has a dynamic voice in her tuneful repertoires in English, French and Spanish.

Sat. August 7th - CBC Ottawa Presents Solo #2 with Stephan Moccio and Servantes

Stephan Moccio - The multi-talented Stephan Moccio is a pianist, arranger, composer, songwriter and producer. He has composed music for international superstars and shared his talent with the world at the 2010 Olympics for his hit song “I Believe”.

Servantes - Servantes is an incredibly talented flamenco and classical guitar player. His collaborations have made his album outstanding to listen to. His skill and talent on the guitar is quite remarkable.

Patricia Cano - Patricia Cano was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. Her many talents have made her travel around the world. As a multi-talented dancer, actress and singer, she is now concentrating on her passion to sing and make music.

Roxanne Potvin - Roxanne Potvin is a young artist who grew up in the Ottawa-Gatineau Region. She’s a songwriter and guitarist who launched her career creating blues and roots music.

Sat. Sept. 4th - CBC Ottawa Presents Solo #4 with Yannick- Muriel Noah soprano and pianist Carson Becke

Solo presents Canadian soprano Yannick-Muriel Noah accompanied by pianist Jean Desmarais who will perform exquisite opera pieces.

In Part II, we feature Carson Becke, a young pianist who will astound you when he plays pieces from Chopin.
