Known for her fearless interviewing and incredible rapport with guests, award-winning journalist Wei Chen has been a fixture on the television scene for most of her 20 years in the broadcast industry.

She has interviewed Prime Ministers, incarcerated criminals, families of murder victims, movie stars, and regular people... anyone with a story to tell. Her work has taken her all across Ontario, Canada, and indeed many parts of the world -- including Sri Lanka where she hosted a special on the devastating 2004 Tsunami.

Wei Chen began her career at CFPL in London Ontario. Her experience includes stints with CHCH in Hamilton, Toronto One, and CBC TV in Calgary, Ottawa and Toronto. In her 10 years with CTV, Chen served as host of Canada AM Weekend, anchored CTV's 24-hour news channel, and spent seven seasons as an investigative journalist with W-FIVE, which earned her two Gemini nominations.

Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan, arrived in Canada when she was three, and grew up in Hamilton. She lives in Toronto with her husband and daughter, and is looking forward to exploring Southern Ontario as the new host of Ontario Morning.
