After living on the other side of the Rockies for more than a decade, Rob Brown and his wife Rosa Marchitelli decided to move their family to Calgary. They came for the lifestyle, sense of community and a once in a lifetime career opportunity - a chance to co-anchor the CBC Calgary television news together.

Rob is a veteran reporter who has worked all over Western Canada.

Born in Vancouver, he studied journalism at the British Columbian Institute of Technology. Rob's first job was working as a photojournalist in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He soon landed in Edmonton where his passion for politics saw him cover Alberta's legislature.

It was in the province's capital that he met Rosa - a Calgarian who had wandered north. Together they moved to Vancouver where Rob worked as BC Bureau Chief for CTV National News and as a senior reporter/anchor at CTV BC.

Rob's journalism has been recognized with several awards including two Edward R. Murrows, a Dave Rogers RTNDA and a Jack Webster.

An avid paddler, he's is looking forward to discovering Southern Alberta from the water. A lifelong Vancouver Canucks fans he's trying to warm up to the Calgary Flames.
