Rick Cluff has been the host of CBC Radio One's popular morning show The Early Edition since September of 1997.

Rick brings a wealth of experience to his current post. Prior to joining CBC Vancouver, Rick's voice was well known as an award-winning sports commentator and journalist. He has reported on numerous Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Canada Games as well as various world championship events from the South Pacific to the Arctic Circle. During his career, Rick has appeared as a host, reporter and commentator on a number of CBC Radio and Television programs.

He is a member of the Journalists Section of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and holds degrees in Political Science (U.W.O.) and Journalism (Carleton), as well as a diploma in Municipal Administration. (Seneca College of A.A.&T.)

Rick loves to play golf and is the proud father of a son and a daughter.
