Pauline Dakin is the national health/medical reporter for CBC News and the host of the regional documentary program, Maritime Magazine. She's won numerous national and international awards for her medical reporting.
She has done fellowships in medical reporting at the MIT/Knight Science Journalism program and through the Washington-based National Press Foundation.
Born in North Vancouver, B.C. she's lived from coast to coast with stops in Winnipeg, and Saint John, N.B. She has reported for newspaper, television and radio. She's now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she has been with CBC Radio since 1993, working at various times as a reporter, editor, producer and host.
Pauline is on the boards of the Canadian Science Writers Association and the Gordon Foundation for Youth and Children.
