Mitch Peacock has co-hosted CBC News Winnipeg at 5, 5:30 & 6 p.m. on CBC Television since 2010 alongside Janet Stewart. Mitch has also been the local sports reporter for CBC News Winnipeg and CBC Radio One since 2008.

A rinkside reporter for Hockey Night In Canada, Mitch's highlights include games at the Bell Centre in Montreal, a Stanley Cup playoff series and any Winnipeg Jets game at MTS Centre.

Outside the rink, Mitch has served in a variety for roles with CBC Sports including co-hosting network coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, play-by-play of the IAAF World Junior Track And Field Championships, and World Cup skiing in Lake Louise.

Prior to joining CBC, Mitch was an anchor with the Fox Soccer Report and worked extensively on CBC's coverage of Major League Soccer.

Before turning his attentions to television, Mitch spent three-years as host of Calgary Flames Radio, hosted sports talkradio, and called hundreds of games in the AJHL (Alberta Hockey League), BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League), WHL (Western Hockey League), and ECHL (Premier 'AA' Hockey League).

An avid athlete himself, Mitch played collegiate soccer at SAIT in Calgary, Alberta and university hockey while attending Queen's in Kingston, Ontario.
