Louise Martin

Louise Martin is a member of the new weekend team at CBC News Network.

After over eight years as part of CBC's business team, Louise made the move to weekend programming in the fall of 2009. In her role, Louise's on air reporting adds layers of content and context to the day's top stories, often with her signature brand of whit and humour!

Louise began her broadcasting career in Brandon, Manitoba, where she hosted radio news, television news and even did a stint as a weather presenter! Her next job took her to back to her home province of Alberta, where she is most proud of hosting special coverage of the Tornado that tragically killed twelve people and devastated a campground in Pine Lake in July 2000.

Louise made the move to cover business news at CBC in 2002, after working at Toronto-based financial website Stockhouse.com.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Louise immigrated to Canada in 1981.

She resides in Toronto with her husband and two children.
