LARA JEAN CHOROSTECKI (Krystina Breeland)

Born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Lara Jean Chorostecki discovered her love for acting at the age of eight after watching a theatre production of Les Miserables. Beginning her professional acting career as a teenager at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, she was the youngest member to ever be accepted into Stratford's Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training. Lara Jean then found herself in London, England where she completed her Masters in Classical Acting at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Named one of Canada's 13 Shining Stars in 2014 by Real Style Magazine, Lara Jean can be recognized for her film and television roles in highly acclaimed series including NBC's Hannibal, as ruthless tabloid blogger Freddie Lounds, Starz/CBC miniseries Camelot, Brandon Cronenberg's feature film Antiviral, the lead in the indie rom-com Please Kill Mr. Know it All (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination), Charlie in CTV’s Dan for Mayor (another Canadian Comedy Award Nomination), and BBC America's 1860s Irish cop drama Copper where she guest starred as Sybil O'Brien. Lara Jean has also appeared as a guest star on CW's hit series Beauty and the Beast, SyFy's Haven, Showcase's Lost Girl, CBC's Republic of Doyle, The Listener and more.

Lara Jean most recently completed filming the feature The Masked Saint starring opposite film and television icon Diahann Carroll, as well as wrapping up production on the Canadian features Barn Wedding and Renaissance. She will also reprise her role as Freddie Lounds in the upcoming Season 3 of Hannibal.

Her theatre credits include four seasons with the Stratford Festival, (most notably appearing as Drina in Peter Hinton's The Swanne, and Katie in Quiet in the Land); Homechild opposite Eric Peterson (Canstage); Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Olivia in Twelfth Night, and Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden (Resurgence); as well as Arley-Rose in A Boy Called Newfoundland for critically acclaimed Toronto theatre company Theatre Smash.
