Kelly Crowe is a correspondent with CBC News: The National.
Kelly joined The National in 1991 from CBLT in Toronto where she was as a regional correspondent. Prior to joining CBC, Kelly spent several years in private television and radio.
Kelly began working as a National correspondent in the Saskatchewan bureau, followed by six years in Alberta before returning to Toronto, where she covered current affairs as a documentary reporter. During her career she has reported on a wide range of stories, including elections, floods, forest fires, political leadership conventions and lots of breaking news such as the 1999 Columbine shootings in Colorado and the SARS outbreak in Canada in 2003.
As a documentary reporter, Kelly has followed an Afghanistan theatre troop touring through the war-torn country, embedded with the Canadian military during sovereignty exercises in Canada's North, and spent a week in Yellowstone National Park following up on a Canadian wolf pack.
Kelly grew up in a small Ontario town and received a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa.
