Ioanna Roumeliotis is an award winning reporter with CBC News Network.
Roumeliotis began working in Montreal's local newsroom in 1995. In 2000, she moved to Toronto to become a reporter with The National. In 2001, Roumeliotis was part of the first Canadian TV crew to report from New York City after the attacks of Sept. 11. More recently, she worked on the award-winning series Skin Deep for The National that looked at the controversy surrounding cosmetic surgery, as well as putting together an award-winning series on teen suicide. She continues to cover many major news events, including the Via Rail Terror plot and the Lac-Megantic train disaster.
Fluent in English, French and Greek, Roumeliotis holds degrees in Political Science from McGill and Journalism from Concordia University.
