Dave Taylor is CBC National Radio News' Parliamentary Bureau Chief. He leads the team of reporters and producers on Parliament Hill who produce the stories you hear on CBC Radio newscasts, local programs and The House. Listeners in a number of cities hear his weekly Parliamentary report on their local morning shows every Tuesday. Listeners across Canada can hear his analysis of major political events on The World at Six and CBC News Specials.
Dave began his career at CBC Radio in 1990 as an editor in the National Newsroom in Toronto. He was producer of the media program Now the Details, and was Senior Editor of the news service's flagship morning newscast, World Report. He has worked as a field producer on a number of projects in Canada, the United States and Mexico and led CBC Radio's coverage of the 2000 federal election.
Dave has also worked in print media, as editor-in-chief of the Brockville Recorder and Times, his home town daily.
He began his broadcasting career out of university at CIUT, the U of T's community station, and spent two years working as a freelance reporter in Mexico, where he filed reports for CBC Radio News, among other clients.
