Brad Clark is CBC radio's national reporter on the business and economics beat, based in Calgary. His coverage of Canada's oil and gas industry has taken him from Houston to Tuktoyuktuk to Washington D.C. Clark has also been on the front-lines in Canada's B-S-E crisis, following the struggles of the Canadian cattle industry.
From time to time, Clark's personal interest in sports has crossed into his professional life at CBC. He's followed the NHL's financial troubles and labour negotiations, and covered the 2002 Paralympics in Salt Lake City. Clark has run 10 marathons, and was a 2003 Ironman Canada finisher in just his third triathlon.
Before moving to Calgary in 1996, Clark was a reporter on an award-winning local radio investigative team at CBC in Edmonton, his home town. He studied economics at the University of Alberta, and in 1990, graduated from the University of Wales with Masters degree in Journalism Studies.
