Amanda Putz

Amanda Putz is a proud Saskatchewanian who relocated to Ontario in 2001. After doing time in the trenches of television news in Toronto, she followed a diplomat to Ottawa and nestled into radio music.
She found her "radio-legs" on Bandwidth, Ontario's weekly music show. In the midst of her first season she helped conceive and produce Fuse in 2005, taking the reins as host. The first season of Fuse paired artists like Ron Sexsmith & Sam Roberts and Kathleen Edwards & Feist to perform in front of live audiences. Since then they've paired the likes of Gord Downie & The Sadies, Rock Plaza Central & Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, and Greg Keelor & Cuff the Duke.
Amanda filled in as host on Definitely Not the Opera, Q, and Sounds Like Canada on several occasions. Hosting duties have extended to a myriad of live events including Ottawa's Saskatchewan Centennial Celebrations, Canada Day in Major's Hill Park, and live broadcasts for Radio 3 at Halifax Pop Explosion and Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
She returned to CBC Ottawa in 2007 after a year in Hong Kong. During that time she hosted and produced an international indie music show and was a newsreader for RTHK's English radio station.
In 2007 Amanda returned to her role as the host of Fuse for its last season and began as a regular host on CBC Radio 3.
