Production Design Services

The mandate of the TORONTO DESIGN OFFICE (TDO) is to assist in-house, independent, and co-productions to obtain the best quality and most cost effective external design services.

The TDO has a list of resources, including shops and personnel, who can provide the best services for your productions. These Design specialties include:

  • Set Design
  • Costume & Wardrobe
  • Set Decoration
  • Hair & Makeup
  • Props
  • Special Effects
  • Scenic Construction
  • Riggers
  • Scenic Paint
  • Staging

TDO/Staging crew leaders will also work with your production to plan the logistics of having sets shipped into and out of the building, including but not limited to:

  • Booking Elevators
  • Obtaining Permits
  • Liaising with Bldg. Mgmt. (PROFAC)

All lift and material-handling equipment and operators will be handled through the TDO and/or our Studio and TV Technical Stores area.
