VIDEO UPDATE: Gary Lunn shows Rosemary his mittens
There is nothing like a pair of red woolen mittens adorned with the Maple Leaf and Olympic rings to cause trouble.
Today marks 100 days until the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
And to get their caucus in the mood and create a lovely photo op, Conservatives left caucus with those big, beautiful red mittens.
They were told to wave happily at the cameras. And they did.
The minister responsible, Gary Lunn, informs me the mittens were all purchased at The Bay for 10 bucks a pop. And that money goes directly to the athletes.
All good up to there.
But the question to Liberals now: how do they feel, walking about, mittenless. Particularly when the mittens are Liberal red?
I bet the Liberals are just kicking themselves right now.
Perhaps a quick trip to The Bay is in order.
