TRU program fills forestry need

With Domtar about to lay off 125 employees from the Kamloops pulp mill, it might seem like there's a surplus of workers in the forest industry. But when it comes to men and women who work in the forest cutting down trees there's actually a shortage right now. A pilot program at Thompson Rives University is aiming to fill those jobs, eight students at a time. All it needs is more government funding, so the students can have their 10-week course paid for. Josh Pagé was in their classroom for one of the last days of school.
