In the 1988 election, Democratic candidate Michael Dukakis was the target of attack ads that went after his crime policies and his ability to run the military. In the end he lost in a landslide to George Herbert Walker Bush. Governor Dukakis shares his views on how campaigns have changed in the years since he ran for President - for the better and for the worse.
