Day 6 - Food on Mars

Day 6

NASA's Curiosity reached Mars on Monday, but of course, the dream is to one day see humans on the red planet. And feeding astronauts on a multi-year mission requires a special bag of space tricks. Next March, six people will be sealed in a capsule on a Hawaiian lava field, simulating Mars's surface. They'll spend months exercising their kitchen skills. Canadian robotics engineer and former soldier Simon Engler is one of them. And Kim Binsted is a co-researcher with NASA's HI-SEAS project.
