Rodgers and Hammerstein on Project 60

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein the Second were two of the most successful composers of the Broadway musical. In the 1940s and 50s, five of their shows- Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music were mega hits. In February 1960, the CBC's Tony Thomas traveled to New York to interview both men separately. The result was the program you're about to hear, which aired on Project 60.
