Soul in the City - Part 2 (2009 Encore)

Tapestry

Mary Hynes visits Toronto architect Brigitte Shim in her home, which is tucked into a Toronto laneway, to talk about how the most sacred spaces in cities can be the abandoned places. And Dallas psychoanalyst Gail Thomas tells us how cities can have 'soul-wounds'; Dallas's is the assassination of John F. Kennedy Jr. She says those collective wounds can help people understand what it takes to heal the human spirit. We’ll hear from listeners too – about where they find soul in the city.
