Immigrant Access Fund

The Homestretch

Many immigrants arrive in Calgary with a lot of education and experience. But it can be hard to transition those skills into a career in their chosen field. An organization called the Immigrant Access Fund helps people get the credentials they need by giving microloans. They are having an appreciation night this evening, thanking donors and volunteers. Corinne Tessier is one of the founders of the organization. Dapo Bankole is originally from Nigeria and his background is in I.T. He received the fund in 2013 and now runs his own business.
