Calgary's 2018 Citizen of the Year

The Homestretch

Every year around Remembrance Day, more than 3,000 white crosses are put up in a park along Memorial Drive to honour Alberta soldiers. The Field of Crosses Memorial Project was created thanks to a Calgary entrepreneur and philanthropist. Murray McCann came up with the idea, and now he's being honoured for his work in our city. He won the Citizen of the Year award as part of the Calgary awards this week and joined host Terri Campbell in studio.
