Grade three students at Lincoln Heights Public School want to be able to walk to school safely. So their teacher, Mrs. Myers, had them write letters to their city councillor to deal with dangerous intersections nearby. Teacher Jennifer Myers says student and parent concerns provided a great opportunity to teach her students about civics. A total of 21 students have now written letters to their city councillor Waterloo's Mark Whaley. CBC's Joe Pavia visited the students this past week, to hear what went into those letters.
