The legal case behind B.C.'s decision to sue Alberta over its turn-off-the-taps legislation

The Homestretch

British Columbia's Attorney General is taking Alberta to court. The B.C. government filed a statement of claim in Alberta's Court of Queen's Bench today, over legislation that allows Alberta to restrict oil and gas shipments to B.C. Nigel Bankes is a law professor and is the chair of natural resources law at the University of Calgary. He joined host Doug Dirks in studio to discuss the legal footing on which this case is based.
