Kent Sangster and Joanna Ciapka-Sangster's Obsessions Octet

The Homestretch

When's the last time you caught an octet in concert? How about a Juno-nominated, Western Canadian Music Award-Winning Jazz octet that plays tango and classical music to boot?? Well tonight, you can do just that as the Alberta spotlight series continues at Studio Bell. Kent Sangster founded the Obsessions Octet back in 2005 with his wife Joanna Ciapka-Sangster, who is a classically-trained violinist. They've gone on to produce three studio albums and perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City and around the world. They joined host Doug Dirks in studio.
