Morneau says government willing to compensate Kinder Morgan against political delays

The Liberal government announced today that it's willing to put up public money to keep the Trans Mountain pipeline alive. Finance Minister Bill Morneau says his government would compensate the pipeline's backers if there are further delays to the project. It was first approved by the Liberals back in 2016. Richard Masson is an executive fellow with the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary and the former head of the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission.
