Should waiters be forced to share their tips with the kitchen staff? Restaurant owners say yes

Currently, the law says that when you tip a server, the money is theirs to keep the moment it's in their hands. But in an open letter this week, more than 60 restaurant owners and associations are asking the government to let them enforce "tip sharing" between the wait staff and the kitchen workers. Martin Vezinais, the spokesperson for the Quebec restaurant owners association, and Iakovos Progakis, the owner of the Ottavio restaurant chain, joined us to discuss the proposed amendment.
