Freeland skips key NATO summit to continue NAFTA talks

Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland is skipping a key NATO summit in order to stay in Washington and continue NAFTA talks. Meetings continue tomorrow and could be the last face-to-face discussions before May 1 — the day the Americans say they will impose tariffs on Canadian and Mexican steel and aluminum, unless there is a NAFTA agreement.
