Is it time to revive passenger rail on Vancouver Island?

It's been seven years since passenger trains ran on the E and N rail line on Vancouver Island. After unsuccessful efforts to restore the tracks and service, recent debate over its future has included pulling up the tracks and putting buses or bike trails along the route. But a group of railway advocates believes there is a prime opportunity right now to revive passenger rail as a viable commuter service on southern Vancouver Island. Jack Peake is with the E & N Railway Roundtable group and he joins me now.
