Fredericton man commemorates liberation of Leeuwarden

On April 15, Fredericton's Onne de Boer will mark the seventy-third anniversary of the Royal Canadian Dragoons joining the Dutch resistance to liberate Leeuwarden, the capital of the province of Friesland. De Boer was born in Friesland but his family moved to Canada years ago. He now works in Oromocto at Base Gagetown , where he recently found a plaque commemorating the liberation.
