Do libraries need more funding?

Libraries are particularly important to rural communities in BC, where they are often one of the few places people can access books, music, and online resources. But the Burns Lake Library has called on the province to create a task force to look at rural library funding. To find out what our Island library system thinks of this call, we caught up with Barry Avis - the board chair of the Vancouver Island Regional Library board of trustees. The V-I-R-L runs 39 libraries across the Island and Haida Gwaii.
