Team Indigenous may one day compete at Olympic Games
The Homestretch
The Paralympic Winter Games are about to begin just as we're recovering from the excitement of the Olympic Games and Canada's 29 medals. One day, we may see a Team Indigenous at the Olympic Games. Grand Chief Willie Littlechild is among those leading the effort. The chief from Maskwacis is an award-winning athlete and lawyer who was named the first Indigenous torch bearer and ambassador for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. He also founded the Alberta, North American and World Indigenous Games. He just returned from Pyongchang and is about to head back to South Korea for the Paralympic Games. Chief Littlechild spoke with host Doug Dirks.
