Calgary city council considers relaxing fire response times in new communities

A city council committee has been wrestling most of today whether to support relaxing fire response times for new communities in Calgary. The city's current target for a fire response when Calgarians call is 7 minutes but the challenge of budgets and getting to new areas is forcing the City to look at a ten minute standard for new communities.
