The federal government is making changes to the way major energy projects like pipelines and mines will be assessed. The National Energy Board will be scrapped and replaced with what's called the Canadian Energy Regulator. On top of that, a new federal agency called the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada will take over the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency. Chris Bloomer is the president and CEO of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association. He spoke with host Rob Brown.
