Alberta-B.C. call-in on Premier Rachel Notley's decision to boycott B.C. wines

The Homestretch

A trade war is brewing Alberta and B.C. Earlier today, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley announced that her province will no longer be importing B.C. wine. That's in retaliation for the B.C. government's plan to limit pipeline expansion, until further scientific and safety reviews are complete. That means uncertainty for projects like the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline, which runs from Edmonton to Burnaby. Now, as this trade battle grows, Gloria Macarenko, host of On the Coast, the afternoon radio show in Vancouver, British Columbia, joins Rob Brown, host of The Homestretch in Calgary, Alberta, for a 20-minute call-in show. Asking the questions like: What do you think of Alberta blocking B.C. wine? What's at stake for you in the debate over pipelines? What can each province do to settle this issue?
