Pilot's error resulted in deadly plane crash

A pilot's error resulted in the deadly plane crash that killed a former Liberal cabinet minister and six others, according to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada. Jean Lapierre, members of his family, and the flight crew all died when their plane went down in Quebec's Magdalen Islands in March 2016. The Transportation Safety Board says that while the weather was not ideal that day, it was not to blame — rather, a series of decisions made by the pilot led to the plane's crash
