The Fifth Estate Finding Emma Jun 23, 2014 | 0:43I want to come home." That's what 26 yr old Emma Filipoff phoned to tell her mother in Ontario. Emma was living in Victoria. And her mother was worried about her- worried about her mental state. So she flew out to BC to bring her daughter home. But when she arrived, Emma was gone. Vanished. She was last seen on Nov.28th, barefoot and disoriented outside the Empress Hotel. A concerned passerby called 911, and 2 police officers spoke with Emma for 45 minutes, but left her alone, feeling she wasn't a threat to herself or others. She was never seen again. Her mother spent 2 months, scouring the area, but found no trace of her daughter.
