A chat with the 2012 Giller prize winner Will Ferguson

The Scotiabank Giller prize honours the best Canadian novel or short-story collection published in English this past year. It's one of Canada's richest literary prizes, nominating five worthy fiction writers and giving their books national attention. This year's winner, Will Ferguson, is best known for books like "Beyond Belfast" and "Beauty Tips from Moose Jaw" - both of which were winners of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour. His Giller-winning book "419" takes a more serious turn - a story that starts with an internet con artist in Nigeria, the Calgary man whose desire to believe in the scam brings him to ruin; and his daughter's quest to confront the con man face to face.
