MLB pitcher and substitute teacher from North Battleford Andrew Albers
It's hard to think of baseball at this time of year. But in a few weeks, Andrew Albers will be off to spring training camp. The North Battleford native wowed many last August, when he became the first pitcher in the history of the Minnesota Twins, to throw eight scoreless innings in his debut with the major league. The next time he was on the mound, he pitched a shutout. In the off season, he returns to North Battleford, where he works as a substitute teacher. Leisha Grebinski caught up with him just before class.
